Scripture
Psalm25
verse 8 The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
Observation
The verse that jumped out at me today was verse 8. I feel like I have gone astray in the last couple months. I have gone astray by neglecting my regular bible study. At first this may not seem like a serious issue, I needed to dig deeper to figure out why this verse was speaking to me so strongly.
Verse 17 also spoke to me "My problems go from bad to worse."
I can easily say that my problems are so insignificant to what others are experiencing, but in the middle of my day my problems are what I am experiencing - and boy can they be overwhelming, frustating, upsetting, and at times nearly suck all the life out of me!!!
As I reflect on the last two months I am overwhelmed at how overwhelmed I have been. There are a million reasons but only one that makes a difference. I have not taken the time every single day to be with God and hear what he is saying to me. Instead, all I have been hearing is the chaos of the world (and three screaming toddlers) with no break. I need that break, I need that time to grow in my faith so that I am not so easily led astray!
Application
Simply to find time for bible study every day.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for speaking to me so loudly through all the "noise" of my life. Thank you for leading me down the right path. I ask for strength and a way to make the time every day to be with you. The right road for me to follow is learning your truths and as I learn I praise you for your loving patience.
