I found another fabulous blog carnival. The idea comes from Joanne at The Simple Wife and she says the following in her description of Memory Monday:
"...I need to write God's Word on my heart. Which is a fancy way of saying I need to memorize some verses."
"Each Monday my goal is to pick a verse or passage to memorize for the upcoming week. And the next Monday, I'll type it out BY MEMORY and choose another one."
Sounds good to me!! Yes, Joanne I will join you! This week I will choose the 23rd Psalm. Whenever I stayed at my Grandma's house she recited this as the bedtime prayer. It is one of my favorite memories of my Grandma. I now know most of it, but still get messed up in places and have been meaning to correctly memorize it. This is the perfect opportunity!! And no cutting and pasting for this challenge-haha I almost did!!!!
Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I'm so glad you're joining us! And great idea to memorize Psalm 23 (plus such a neat memory!). There are so many passages that I kinda sorta know, but not really perfect.
