After growing up on the Canadian Prairies I always thought it was strange for the first day of spring to be March 21. Usually spring doesn't come until about now - the end of May, and even then there could still be snow. This year they just got about another foot more snow a few days ago!!
Then I lived in California for 5 years, they only way to tell the change of seasons is to know what blooms at what time of year! But this year we are in North Carolina and I now know why Spring comes in March! Here are some of the photos I took in the last couple of months.
Blooming at the end of February were Daffodils and Crocuses.
In March I had a tree that bloomed, my neighbor called this a Tulip Tree
But April was when things really started to bloom...
By the beginning of May it was already starting to feel like summer...
