A sad day

Today was our last Sunday at our church and we had to say good-bye to our church family. It was a bittersweet day because it is so hard to have to say goodbye and yet we are so blessed and grateful to have been given the opportunity to meet them. I feel that we have made some lifelong friends here and look forward to returning to visit often. Many of the people have said that they are sorry to see us go, and we are sad to leave as well. With the help of the people in this community and especially from the people at our church we quickly came to feel that this was our home and not just a place to live!

In an attempt to express our gratitude to them we made up some photo cards with the photos below. For me it still is not enough to let them know deeply they have affected our family. One way was by simply providing excellent child care. Each Sunday we were able to place our children into very loving care which gave us the opportunity to worship and be in the Word of God. I was also able to attend the Wednesday evening services while Daddy stayed home. I thought of it as my chance to escape! But in return I learned so much, gained friendships, and again received valuable time in God's Word. With the craziness and chaos of raising three toddlers this opportunity to spend time with God is very much appreciated.

This card said "We have to say good-bye, Your kindness and friendship have truly been a blessing. We will miss you"

This card said that "this chuch truly represents John 13:34 to Love One Another. Thank you for loving us."

I also included a card with this blog address on it. To those who are visiting here for the first time welcome! I hope that you find that this will be a way to keep in touch with what we are up to. And we also want to say a great big thank-you for the picnic and the thoughtful gift from our Sunday School class!
