We are a finalist - again!

I just found out that the photo I entered into the latest photo contest at 5 minutes for mom was selected as a finalist!

I appreciate every vote we get, but I already know that we will not win. I simply do not know enough people and do not have the means to get that many votes. major sigh....But it is still fun to enter and exciting to be selected as a finalist!

You can read why I chose this photo to enter here. However what is really quite funny is that this photo was taken the same day as the one of Carlee sleeping. That is the photo I entered into their Sleeping Angels contest that we were selected as a finalist. If you look closely at this photo you can see that she still has cake batter on her face!

Fun With Food Photo Contest

5 Minutes for Mom is having another great photo contest. This one is called "FUN With FOOD". Click here to see the contest and lots of really cute photos! Prego will give the finalist a $500 grocery card!!!

I had a really hard time selecting a photo to enter because I have alot of the spaghetti and cake smeared face pictures of all our kids. But because it was sponsored by Prego I was originally leaning towards a spaghetti face photo. That was until I read the instructions again and saw that they are looking for photos that are fun, family, and food related. This photo won in my books!

FUN - The photo really does not do a good job representing how much fun they had licking out this bowl. They must have spent 15 minutes licking and giggling! It was a glorious 15 minutes for me to listen to them while I was washing the baking dishes (without any little helpers who tend to not be a whole lot of help!)

FAMILY - It is not often that I get a good photo of all three of our kids willing sitting together for a photo! I try to get a photo of all three together once a month. Most of my attempts lately are quite pitiful, but this photo is already in my annual family album.

FOOD - Who doesn't love licking the beaters after mixing a cake. Unfortunately I have three kids and a mixer that uses one beater - it doesn't add up, so I improvised that day by simply putting the bowl on the floor!

Lots of sites with giveaways that I have found give you the option for additional entries and one of those options is to post about it on your blog. I won a give away!!!

I have been reading several blogs, most of which I have posted at the left side of this page. I have been enjoying these blogs for these reasons:
- They make me laugh
- I have been blessed by the SOAP posts and other biblical based writings
- I have learned many interesting things, especially in the cooking category
- I have certainly been convicted about many things and I have started to make some positive changes in myself and in my home

I need this book! So I posted a comment and I won!!! I can hardly wait to get the book and get my pms emotional roller coaster under control.

Before I was pregnant I only ever had cramping, fairly significant but controllable with Midol or something like that. Then I had babies and everything about my cycly changed. I no longer have cramps, at least nothing more than a bit of achiness (sp?). But there have been months that I literally think I am losing my mind and am near emotional breakdown. I have been fairly good at not being psycho mom, not so good at freaking out at my poor hubby who usually takes the brunt of the emotional attacks. He has told me that some days he doesn't know which war will be fought when he comes in the door. It might be me on some kind of a warpath or me falling into a puddle of tears. And for some reason, every month I seem to forget about the cause of my emotional roller coaster and really do think I am losing my mind. Then just about when the ride is over I realize what is going on, that it is all pms. arrggg!!!

So now you can see why I was so excited about this book and I knew that if I didn't win it I would soon be looking for in on Amazon. I entered my comment first on Kate's blog and followed the links to comment on a couple others. Maybe I will win more than one copy and have my own giveaway!
