1Corinthians 15

Scripture
1Corinthians 15
Verses 2-4, 23

2 And it is this Good News that saves you if you firmly believe it-unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. 3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me-that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said.
23 But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised first; then when Christ comes back, all his people will be raised.

Observation
These verses are the basis and the foundation for the Christian faith:
- you are saved if you firmly believe in the Good News
- the Good News is that Christ died for our sins and was raised from the dead on the third day
- Christ will return and when he does all his people will also be raised from the dead

Application
If you are asked what you believe in or why you are a Christian, what do you say? It should be the three points above. This concept should be second nature to you if you are a Christian. These points are the basis for your belief system and your faith.

Prayer
Lord thank you for the precious gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. There are so many who claim to be Christians, but do not have this saving knowledge. I pray that you will open their hearts and minds and bring them closer to you. In Jesus name, Amen
