The questions are going to drive me crazy

I would think that most parents go through the What's this stage and then the Why stage. But why Lord, why oh why do I have to have them both at the same time.

In the last few days Sam has started the Why game. It is challenging to answer all the why's with a meaningful answer. But today I used a clever answer of "God made it that way", smart right! Oh no, that just led to more "Why did God make it that way". So then I said "You will have to ask God why He did that". Did that work? Nope that took us in a whole new direction,

Sam - Where is God? (Looking around the room)
Mama- Everywhere
Sam - Everywhere?
Mama - Yes, He hears you when you talk to Him? (I totally worded that wrong and left the door wide open for... yep you guessed it)
Sam - Why?

ARRRGGGG

Okay so if that wasn't bad enough. While Sam is asking all his why questions, Ben has started to continually ask "What's this?" The most usual time for this comes when we are eating. He will point to everything on his plate and ask "What's this?". Even to the things he knows well, he still asks. Then when he points to everything once, he starts back at the beginning. At least the questions are easy to answer. Of course he usually gives up the questions when Sam starts to ask more interesting questions like, Why?

Is it a plot? Are they working together to drive me crazy?
