Psalm 6

I started the SOAP method of Bible study in the middle of Mark and Psalms. I am now going to add my notes from my written journal for the beginning chapters of both books so that the entire books are in this blog.

Scripture

Psalm 6

Prayer

Help Effie's family in this time of grief, please help them come closer to you

Summary
  • David asks God to be merciful to him and to heal his pain an anguish
  • David is worn out from his weeping and sorrow
  • David tells those who do evil to go away from him because the Lord has heard his cry for mercy and He will answer him
  • Key Verse v.3 my soul is in anguish. How long, O Lord, how long? David prays to God asking how long he must wait for relief

Application

The key verse shows us that we may have to endure sorrow for a long time. But then in verse 9 we can be comforted by knwing God hears our cries
